Stretch

MAC’s STRETCH yoga and Pilates programs develop flexibility, grace, and balance, helping to address tension, aches, pains, and other physical misalignments. With time and practice, your body returns to its natural alignment, your core becomes engaged, muscle strains dissolve, and excess weight drops away. Clean yoga mats and filtered drinking water, as well as the classes themselves, are all included in your membership fee.


Barre-Fit

Your core will be engaged the entire class and then targeted at the end. For the cool down, you will go through a series of stretches to increase flexibility and allow your muscles to recover. Classes are 55 minutes, and are based on some of the founding principles of ballet which are posture, core, strength and lengthening. The structure will also focus on developing those key chronic pain areas, such as the lower back, shoulders, knees, hips, and ankles. All exercises use bodyweight only.

Yoga

Moderate level classes focus on alignment, holding of postures, and strengthening. Detailed instruction will work toward incorporating breath into yoga postures and finding your yogic “edge”. More challenging postures and our response to them will be explored. The goal in this class is to enhance one’s overall tone, flexibility, balance and confidence.

Pilates Chair Fusion

The versatile MVe® Chair brings the Pilates chair workout to mainstream fitness. It is a sleek, metal, stable, and portable piece designed to help reduce fat, tone abs, buttocks and inner thighs; it will also help to improve balance and coordination. Enjoy the integration of circles, weights, and deep stretching.

Pilates

Pilates is a body conditioning system that improves muscle tone, balances musculature, builds flexibility and muscle strength, as well as increases endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. The focus is placed on establishing correct alignment as well as efficient and functional movement patterns. Props will be incorporated in order to facilitate correct execution and further challenge the core.
